Flying a Machine (out August 10th) is the second studio album from Edinburgh singer/songwriter Aaron Wright. Produced by Francis MacDonald from Teenage Fan Club (the second time that the pair have work together), Aaron Wright sings and writes songs, but he is no run-of-the-mill singer-songwriter. There is an adroitness here, a pop lightness of touch, that elevates him beyond the usual folk troubadour fare.
The album features guest appearances from members of Belle & Sebastian (Nigel Bailie – trumpet, Steve Jackson – guitar, Mick Cooke – horns), Camera Obscura (Ann Campbell – vocals), Rezillos (Chris Agnew – vocals/bass) and Teenage Fanclub (Norman Blake – bass/vocals).
