With another Emotional Rollercoaster of a Gig under it’s belt, CHSq took the crowd on quite the journey last night with Local Lass, ROE hitting us with song’s that reached out to those in the crowd who ever felt dejected or who didn’t fit in, that reminded those who endured harsh bullying that it wasn’t there fault she took the crowd and made them all relate; these were no longer concert-goers, they were a community.
Shortly after we had the raw and uncut piano stylings of Mr Tom Odell, hitting us with the type of music you would picture at the back of a smoky bar, the type of music that no matter your taste you could sit and enjoy a pint to in the early stages, with a finish that had you picking your jaw up from the floor as he slowly ramped up the intensity
With the Corona’s you were treated to that energising, raw indie sound that has influences from so many with that loving little Irish tweak on it making it special, with Danny unafraid to jump down and actually get involved with the crowd taking selfie’s and having the craic, to the singalongs that could be heard across the city, an incredibly special night for all.
