Danish rock giants Volbeat performed in Nottingham as a part of their Servant of the Road tour. English grindcore legends Napalm Death and Welsh reggae metal band Skindred were special guests of the night.
Napalm Death’s unapologetic attitude did an outstanding job of setting the night’s tone. Seeing them still going strong after so many years in the industry was a great experience.
After them, Skindred came on stage and took complete control of the crowd. To say that the band’s frontman Benji Webbe is a highly entertaining individual would be an understatement. His sense of humour, incredibly infectious charisma, and Skindred’s distinctive, fun sound created a truly magical atmosphere.
Then Volbeat took the stage and gave an outstanding performance both musically and visually. Attractive stage design, confetti, pyrotechnics and musical talent of all band members – this is a recipe for a superb one-of-a-kind show. See photos of Volbeat’s show in Nottingham.
