Instigated by the Premier League and the German Bundesliga, the FOOTBALL REMEMBERS campaign marks the centenary of the World War One 1914 Christmas Day truce in which soldiers played a game of football in No Mans Land near Ypres in Belgium.
Peter Hooton wrote the words to ‘All Together Now’ when he discovered the story in the late 1980s, it was of course a massive hit for The Farm in 1990. The proceeds from this new version will go to the British Red Cross to help them in their work in war zones around the world and the Shorncliffe Trust who provide educational experiences based around military history.
A full list of performers is available on request and includes Julian Lennon, Suggs, I Am Kloot, Jah Wobble, Holly Johnson, David Gray, Jon McClure (Reverend and the Makers) and Dave McCabe (The Zutons) together with an U12’s choir of English and German football players.
