Seasick Steve announces new single and surprising new video ‘Summertime Boy’, from his sensational new album, ‘Sonic Soul Surfer’, both released March 20th on Caroline International. ‘Summertime Boy’ is Steve’s unique way of celebrating the joys of summer and sunshine (even in the depths of winter), over a rolling swagger of slide guitar, drums and jaw harp.
The feel-good accompanying video is a snapshot of the perfect summertime lifestyle, featuring Steve on guitar and more surprisingly, a surfboard. Steve says of the video, “I’m lookin’ good, the ocean lookin’ good, the girl lookin’ real good, we all good!”
Since appearing on Jools Holland’s Hootenanny New Year’s Eve 2006, Seasick Steve’s career both on record and onstage has gone from strength to strength. In the process he has established himself as one of the best live acts in music today.

Produced and written by Seasick Steve and recorded in his front room at the little farm where he lives, ‘Sonic Soul Surfer is his seventh studio record and most ambitious work yet. Along with longtime drummer Dan Magnusson, the album also features Luther Dickinson (Mississippi All Stars) playing slide guitar on two tracks, Georgina Leach on fiddle and Ben Miller playing jaw harp on ‘Summertime Boy’.
