The 1975 today announce new single ‘Oh Caroline’, taken from their critically acclaimed No. 1 album ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’.
The band delivered a stunning performance of ‘Oh Caroline’ on NBC’s Saturday Night Live this past weekend, where they featured as the musical guest alongside host Jenna Ortega and also showcased their previous single ‘I’m In Love With You’.
Last month saw the band crowned ‘Best Rock/Alternative Act’ at the 2023 BRIT Awards before announcing their biggest-ever headline show at London’s Finsbury Park. Taking place on Sunday 2nd July, the band will be topping an incredible bill featuring Cigarettes After Sex, Jack Antonoff’s Bleachers, The Japanese House, and American Football, with the tickets selling out within two minutes of going on sale.

The band are currently touring their new ‘At Their Very Best’ show, taking in arenas across USA, Canada, UK & Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia over the next twelve months, with over 500k tickets sold to date.
Between the impressive staging, high-concept performance art, surprise appearances from friends like Phoebe Bridgers, Jack Antonoff and Taylor Swift, and the excess of viral moments, the tour has been lauded as a band truly in their prime.
Formed in Manchester in 2002, The 1975 have established themselves as one of the defining bands of their generation with their distinctive aesthetic, ardent fanbase and unique sonic approach.
Released last October, the band’s fifth studio album ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’ was met with lavish praise, with The FACE labeling it “an album of massive tunes, pristine production and sincere romanticism” and Rolling Stone US vowing the album sees the band “reassert themselves at the forefront of 2020s pop-rock”. It outsold the rest of the Top 5 combined to land the band their fifth Official UK Number 1 album in a row.
