‘Different Angle’ by The Cribs has quickly become a favourite on the band’s recent live outings both in the UK and on the US dates. The video footage was recorded and collated whilst at home and on the road in the US, and filmed by the band and anyone else they could rope in along the way – all recorded on the band’s trusty old VHS camera.
Once compiled, they entrusted new friend and NY city inhabitant Andy Sonnefield (Julian Casablancas and the Voidz) with editing duties and as Ryan says: “it’s life thru an obsolete lens.”
Released through Sonic Blew/Sony Red, ‘Different Angle’ is available as a limited neon pink 7” vinyl and digitally – b/w an exclusive new track ‘Orange Star Rattle’ – “unabashed pop hooks underpinned with synths and heart busting melodies” so said NME recently.
