Woman’s Hour are happy to share a second track taken from the Dancing in the Dark 12″ which will be released on Record Store Day via Best Fit recordings. The intimate piano led track exposes lead singer Fiona Burgess’ beautiful, delicate vocals and lyrics a like.
Burgess adds: “Played with just piano and vocals, it’s the most stripped back song we’ve written so far, which makes the song have a vulnerability and an intimacy to it that’s quite unique from our previous releases. It was recorded live in my front room last January. I guess it’s a song about a promise, a longing, and a roaring sea of silence. We always thought this track worked well with The Shipping Forecast so it felt appropriate to release them side by side.”Listen BELOW:
